My Grandma Fay,
Quakers teach that God is in each of us. God is a "Light" that is in each of us, makes us who we are, and stays lit beyond this body we inhabit on earth. We can feel God personally and mystically. We know God.
I suppose the "Light" is our soul, and Grandma's soul is beautiful. Her "Light" is warmth and love and God. Her Spirit is extraordinary, unique, calm and strong. She lived her life in a Quaker way with Simplicity, Integrity, Stewardship, Equality, and Peace. She taught these qualities to her aiga and to so many more. Her lessons and her love and her "Light" are directly with her children, grand children and great grand children. Grandma's 'Light" burns brilliantly. It is in all of us. Her "Light" is our "Light", and it is God in each of us. Her "Light" will grow stronger and brighter with each generation and through her "Light" she will never die.
Keeping my Grandma in the Light . . .
